My guess as an African-American male,indoor soccer shoes, is that it starts during their early childhood. By the time a child is ready to walk, mothers should have their kids in shoes that have strong arch support to help maintain their arches as their little feet grows. This becomes more important when they actually start walking. They're usually the baby shoes you see that are high-top white with the solid soles.
