Post subject: the EB Tactical Wireless IP Network system
Finland's Elektrobit to provide defense forces with tactical comms
OULU,true religion jeans outlet, Finland, April 5 () -- Finnish communications company Elektrobit says it will continue to deliver its tactical communications system to the Finnish military. The system, the EB Tactical Wireless IP Network system, is a stand-alone military wireless broadband network designed for use in harsh environments. It "significantly" improves tactical data throughput for enhanced situational awareness and battlefield communications. The independent IP broadband network it creates is compatible with existing wired and wireless infrastructures, the company said."Land forces' new tactical communication network has been created to support the renewed way of fight, louboutin men, which aims for a more flexible operational model on the battlefield" said Jari Viuho, Elektrobit's head engineer in the company's land forces material department."We are now moving from piloting into implementation phase of the system. The EB Tactical Wireless IP Network has been in intensive performance and field testing for the least year.""The serial delivery contract shows that this system, which has been created together with the Finnish defense forces, responds to the strict requirements set. The intensive collaboration has refined the product qualities and accelerated the development work and field testing," the company said. The company signed a development and pilot delivery contract with the military in 2011.The value of this continuation contract is nearly $9 million. The delivery of systems is expected to be completed in March 2014.
