In a third recall, Chrysler is calling in 5,617 model year 2012 RAM 4500 and 5500 trucks made on or after Feb. 2, 2012, to fix a welding issue with the front axle carrier."The front drive shaft may fracture and result in a loss of motive power and damage to surrounding components if the shaft continues to spin," regulators said.In the fourth recall, 1,253 model year 2013 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks made from Jan. 7, 2013, through Feb. 28, 2013, equipped with optional premium headlamps are being called in due to malfunctioning headlamp shutters."The headlamp shutters may function improperly when in high-beam mode," regulators said.Consumers were advised to call 800-247-9753 for information.The recall involving the Dodge Darts is scheduled to begin in June. The other three are scheduled to begin in July, the NHTSA said.
