Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders is rumored to be the next Target Go International designer. So I wanted to check out his New York runway show also his stateside debut. He wildly popular in Britain,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], where he already designed an affordable line for Top Shop.
The silhouettes were structured and fitted,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], employing color-blocking in panels. There were many pleated details (a major trend,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as you surely know by now),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but used in inventive ways away from skirts like wings and dangling off of shoulders. Note the luxe fox fur hood.
According to the notes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Saunders was inspired by Irving Penn sand collages and Brancusi sculptures as well as classic science fiction. That would explain the futuristic slicked back hair styles and streamlined clothes.
