AW deliver helos to Italian police
ROME, July 8 () -- Italian police have received the first two of eight AW139 twin-engine helicopters ordered last year from AgustaWestland.The AW139 is a medium-lift aircraft with a maximum speed of 193 mph, a range of 570 miles and a service ceiling of 20,000 feet. It is already in service with the Italian Coast Guard, Customs and Border protection service and the Italian Air Force.The purchase of the helicopters by Italian police was partly funded by the European Union Frontex program.AgustaWestland said the two new helicopters will be based near Rome."The contract signed by the Italian police will bring the total number of AW139s chosen by all of these Italian government operators to 31, covering the widest scope of public utility roles including law enforcement and homeland security,[url=http://www.ewwealth.com/]louboutin sale[/url], patrol, special operations, search and rescue, government/VVIP transport,[url=http://www.tymarc.com/]christian louboutin outlet[/url], disaster relief and command and control," the company said.
