Alex Ovechkin second to win NHL All-Star vote at multiple positions
NEW YORK, July 3 () -- Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin was voted to the 2012-13 NHL All-Star team at left and right wing, the second player honored at multiple positions.Ovechkin was selected to the NHL first team at right wing and the second team at left wing. He was a five-time first-term member as a left wing before this season.Mark Messier, who was voted as a left wing twice and as a center twice, is the only other NHL player to accomplish the feat.Ovechkin was moved to right wing after seven seasons at left wing. He played several games on the left side this season.Ovechkin scored 32 goals in 48 games, including 23 goals in his final 23 games, and was voted the Hart Trophy as the NHL's Most Valuable Player. It was his third such award.Other players selected to the NHL All-Star first team were Pittsburgh center Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh left wing Chris Kunitz, Columbus goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky,[url=http://www.myeduhelp.com/]christian louboutin discount[/url], Montreal defenseman P.K.
