Paris ready for final Run Against Racism,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]

Not only is the run later - it's usually done in March on the international day to eliminate racism,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but was changed this year due to weather concerns - it's also shorter than usual.
Paris opted to shorten the run this year by about 10 kilometers due to injuries,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. He'll be bussed from the Abercrombie Community Centre to Pictou Landing instead of running that portion,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
That's extremely hard for Paris,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], says his wife,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Carol Paris.
"He's had physio for the past three weeks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and we've been able to get him to the point where he can run five or six miles at a time,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," she said. "He's hoping to be able to do legs of the run. at North Nova Education Centre where a public reception will be held to welcome the runners.
Paris is expecting as many as 25 runners to join him for the final race,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as well as representatives from every school in Pictou County.
Currently, the weather forecast is predicting sunshine and temperatures bordering around the zero mark.
"It's a little cold,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but no rain or snow flurries are in the forecast right now,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and as long as school isn't closed and we have the participation of the students is the main thing,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," said Carol Paris.
