Mini expo for young entrepreneurs on the cards
Minerva, a social youth enterprise that has been actively involved in engaging and mobilising young people since May 2011, has announced to launch a project by the name of 'Young Entrepreneurs' Launch Pad' (YELP) as part of its corporate social responsibility. And the first project to be executed under YELP is 'The Mini Expo 2013' scheduled for April 6-7,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 2013.
YELP aims at providing young entrepreneurs with an approachable hub for entrepreneurship. "We are not doing something completely new. We are only adding a few new things but most importantly we are trying to make it more approachable," said Minerva's CEO Sana Khalid.
The first project to be executed under YELP is 'The Mini Expo 2013' which will offer start-ups and young entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their products and services to a greater audience in a cost-effective manner. The expo,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with its 'Dream Big, Start Small' motto and emphasis on 'learning,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], earning and networking' will comprise two productive days of successful business and networking for small scale businesses operating across the country.
The highlights of the expo include the use of creative display options to ensure effective use of small spaces. "Space is often a limitation for start-ups. We want to tell people that with only a little creativity and not too many resources and funds,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], we can create display spaces that make every product stand out,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," explained Sana.
Applications for booking a stall will remain open till March 23,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 2013. Each applicant is provided with an exhibitors' kit to give them insight into holding an exhibition, possible display options,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], things to take care of and ensure. The applicants are also entitled to a one-on-one meeting with the creative head,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who is available to provide advice on the kind of display suitable for the products and also helps them create that display.
Products and services showcased at the expo may include but will not be restricted to clothes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], jewellery and other accessories, handbags,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], key chains, mugs, T-Shirts, tattoo art, nail art,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], photography,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], art work of any kind,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], handicrafts,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], head gear, shoes, cards,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], etc. The Mini Expo will be the first in a series of events to be held later in the year.
