NASHVILLE,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Tenn. A man was injured after being shot during a carjacking in North Nashville. Monday at the Phillips 66 on Clarksville Pike. Surveillance video shows the shooter walking up to a blue car and then firing shots into the car while customers are around.
Renfro put the car in reverse,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], causing it to crash into the concrete posts around the gas pumps.
"Soon as I pulled in,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], saw a guy coming from the car wash,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], walking up,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], drew a handgun. And walked up to the car and shot into the car. And I circled around the building, come back around and it was a blue Caprice classic trying to get off the fuel pumps and he took off,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," said witness Eric Briley.
The victim was able to get up and make his way across the street to a grocery store and ask for help,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
"A guy come into the store hollering the police, I been shot and laid on the floor. So I got on the phone and called the police and after that, they told me what to do. I put a rag to his chest until the police got here. And he was able to tell me he was shot in the chest and the arm,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," said witness Sharon Bryant.
The suspect drove the car about 2.6 miles and got stuck in a ditch as the suspect tried to turn around. He abandoned the car on Stevens Lane off Clarksville Pike,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and fled on foot.
Officers covered the area by foot and in the air,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but have not found the suspect.
Police said the gunman is described as a black man,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 6 tall,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who was wearing a dark T-shirt,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], dark shorts,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], black shoes and white socks.
He is considered armed and dangerous.
