Basketball fundraiser helps blind people in Norfolk,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
A charity basketball match last month saw staff,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], teachers and former students from Notre Dame High School take on former Norwich City players to raise funds for Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind (NNAB).
The event,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which saw legends Jeremy Goss,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Darren Huckerby,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Bryan Gunn,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Craig Fleming,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Dean Ashton,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Gary Holt and Daryl Sutch take part,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], was held at the Surrey Street school and raised £500.
Mr Goss,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], events fundraiser for NNAB,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], was yesterday presented with a cheque for the money which will be used to fund the NNAB's work among 20,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],000 blind and visually-impaired people in Norfolk.
He said: "It was exceptional; it was more than I could've asked for in terms of support. I would like to thank the former Norwich City players for giving up their precious time to take part,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Notre Dame High School,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the school's sport coordinator Levy Utku for all his organisation and Mary Nobes for her work in advertising the night. It shows with a little bit of work and contribution from the community,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that we can make a positive difference to other people's lives."
