An evening with Lorraine Hahn,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
I forget sometimes that it nice to get out,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], have a nice dinner and meet people. I think I been a little insular of late and while it may not look like a conventional 4foot-by-4foot cave,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Bandar Utama and Sunwaymas have been a kind of cave that I haven ventured beyond in awhile.
Good to get the high heels out,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a proper dress and a good hairwash (for only RM18! get out! Only in Malaysia can you get such a fantastic hair wash + massage for that little).
Mohan Cheong,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], friend of me good old dad,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], invited me out to dinner tonight,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], together with dad of course,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], some other friends and the one and only Lorraine Hahn. Yes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that right - CNBC/CNN hottest and most fabulous presenter. Little aspiring journalists such as myself can only dream of getting to Lorraine-Hahn-esque type status so it was very thrilling to be able to have dinner with her tonight
I had the fortune to meet her at Mohan birthday party early this year in Jan and at the time,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], she also very kindly provided an endorsement to Call Me Paris (which is now on the book cover of the newest reprint,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], by the way!). This would be the first time I have the chance to meet here again after that birthday party.
Mohan very kindly asked me to bring a friend along,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], so who else? I brought along the oh-so-fabulous LiKim who not only managed to find her own way there in Friday traffic but also stayed amazingly energetic all through dinner and drinks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], even though she hadn slept the whole of the night before (see,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I don call her oh-so-fabulous for nothing).

It was a funny sort of dinner: animated and passionate discussions about karma,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], self-empowerment,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], ego,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], fear and Dharma; rude and silly jokes about obscene body parts,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], what it was like interviewing Henry Kissinger Thaksin,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and the absurd antics of a man called Harold.
