Alishan National Scenic area in Chiayi county
Fencihu owes its existence towards the Forest Railway. At 1405m above sea level,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it\'s very close to the half-way point between Chiayi and Alishan. During the old logging days Fencihu
was the major center for repair and for maintenance on the railroad.
There are several stuff that Fencihu could be happy with, and all of them are located quite close to one another,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], therefore it won't take enough time to see all there.
First - it is a specific kind of bamboos,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that Fencihu states have unusual.
What's specific with those bamboo? They're (as designed in annotation for them) square type, and not round, like usual ones. Well, I am a last person to be familiar with bamboo, I attempted to shot those so,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that can see the square type of them - well - for me personally it still seems pretty round one.
You won't miss them. Because upon arrival you will need take the time to find parking space - if you can at weekend - it will be lots of cards there, and probably the very first free space will be not so close.
after which there is still one of the ways right down to Fencihu train station and Old Shopping street, and it experiences those square bamboos:

Now, just go down the steps,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and you will be on so called "old street".
Crowd of shoppers and lots of snacks waiting there for the wallet.
I'd a feeling, that there's nothing "old" on this street. Why they call it old street? But what they for sure have - a habit to disregard you at all,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], just in case they help you do not want to buy anything:

What I can't get, why they needed make on "old street" as they call it,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], such a huge and intrusive 7-ELEVEN? There is already no old street. But,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], seems no ones cares, except me. I tried make photo so, that it's not visible, but nonetheless the green logo is seen at the end of street. I suppose next step for pure bliss here would be a McDonalds.
