OTTAWA Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Mrs. Sharon Johnston will lace up their running shoes this weekend for this year Canada Army Run,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], being held on Sunday,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], September 18,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 2011,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], in Ottawa.
Their Excellencies are pleased to have the opportunity to show their support for Canadian Forces members and their families. They strongly believe in the values of physical fitness,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and share their love of being active with their own children and grandchildren.
Canada Army Run is a unique event in which Canadians run,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], walk,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or roll side-by-side with members of the Canadian Forces in 5K and half-marathon events. Launched in 2008 by 7 000 participating runners,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the event fundraising efforts benefit Canadian Forces Personnel Support programs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which include Soldier On and the Military Families Fund.
